eIM (eSIM IoT remote Manager)

The eIM is the SGP.32 entity that tells an IoT device which profiles to download, enable, disable or delete. It plays the part that the user plays on a phone, for devices that have no screen and no user.
In practice
With SGP.32, the party that manages your fleet’s profiles (the eIM) is separate from the parties that supply them (the SM-DP+ servers), so one management tool can serve several connectivity providers.
