The LPA is the software in a consumer device that lets its user download and manage eSIM profiles, typically by scanning a QR code. It is part of the GSMA SGP.22 architecture.
In practice
IoT devices usually have neither screen nor user, so they cannot rely on an LPA. SGP.32 replaces it with the IPA in the device and the eIM on the server side.
