LTE frequency bands
Updated
An LTE band is a frequency range with a number defined by 3GPP in TS 36.101, such as band 20 (800 MHz), band 8 (900 MHz), band 3 (1800 MHz) or band 7 (2600 MHz). A device can use a network only if its module supports at least one band that the network uses in that country.
In practice
Low bands reach further and deeper indoors, and carry most LTE-M and NB-IoT: bands 20, 8 and 28 in Europe, bands 12, 13 and 71 in North America. Before choosing a module for several countries, compare its band list with the bands used in each one.
