SGP.22 (consumer eSIM)

SGP.22 is the GSMA specification for remote SIM provisioning in consumer devices such as phones and watches. The user starts the download, typically by scanning a QR code, and a Local Profile Assistant (LPA) in the device fetches the profile from an SM-DP+ server.
In practice
SGP.22 assumes a person in front of a screen; IoT devices without one use SGP.32 instead.
