SM-DP+ (Subscription Manager Data Preparation plus)

The SM-DP+ is the server that prepares an operator profile, encrypts it for one specific eUICC and delivers it over the internet. It is the source of profiles both in the consumer eSIM architecture (GSMA SGP.22) and in the IoT architecture (GSMA SGP.32).
In practice
Each connectivity provider runs or rents its own SM-DP+. An SGP.32 device can receive profiles from different SM-DP+ servers, which is what makes a change of provider possible without touching the device.
